Mrs. Fleming-Bruce was an associate with an international law firm, where she practiced in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, corporate law, finance, real estate, and securities.

Now, she practiced in the areas of bankruptcy, personal injury, real estate arbitration, criminal and family law in the great city of Houston.

Our Story

The Fleming-Bruce Law Firm, P.L.L.C. (“FB Law”) is a Texas-based law firm that provides legal advice and representation to individuals and business clients throughout the State of Texas. As a single, fully integrated, global partnership, we pride ourselves on our approachable, collegial and team-based way of working. Managing Attorney

La Shon Y. Fleming-Bruce is a founder and managing member of FB Law, and she practices in the areas of bankruptcy, personal injury, corporate, litigation, probate, criminal, and family law. From 1999 to 2002, Mrs. Fleming-Bruce was an associate at an international law firm, where she practiced in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, corporate law, finance, real estate, and securities.

Prior to becoming the managing member of FB Law, Mrs. Fleming-Bruce was the managing member of Fleming & Johnson, P.L.L.C. from 2003 to 2007 and also a member of the Texas Bar College. There she practiced in the areas of bankruptcy, personal injury, real estate arbitration, criminal and family law. From 2000 to 2003, Mrs. Fleming-Bruce sat on the board of directors of New Beginnings Career Development, a not-for-profit company.

Mrs. Fleming-Bruce currently teaches Legal Environment of Business and Business Law at the University of Phoenix. Mrs. Fleming-Bruce is a member of the State Bar of Texas and is a member of the Litigation and Bankruptcy sections. Also, Mrs. Fleming-Bruce is licensed to practice in the Southern District of Texas, Eastern District of Texas, and the Northern District of Texas.

In 1995, Mrs. Fleming-Bruce earned a B.A. degree in English and a B.A. degree in Political Science, both with cum laude distinction, from Houston Baptist University. She then earned her Juris Doctorate (J.D.), with cum laude distinction, from St. Mary’s University School of Law in 1998. Subsequently, Mrs. Fleming-Bruce earned her Master of Laws (in corporation law) from New York University School of Law in 1999. Mrs. Fleming-Bruce became licensed to practice law in the State of Texas in 1998.
